Pondicherry the Heaven for me on our mother earth.It's the most mesmerizing place i have seen throughout the India,I have been going here from my childhood as my whole family is devoted to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and The Mother(www.sriaurobindoashram.org)
Pondicherry is the capital city of The Union Territory of Puducherry and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South India.

As I go Pondicherry a lot of time I explored it to the core of It.What i have seen,felt,adapted is actually undefined yet i am trying to describe you as in this blog i created jus to help every traveller to get the best of roaming places in the famous cities of India
So Beginning with the places.

How to Reach Pondicherry,
The railway station of pondicherry is not that much busy and famous one through their are some trains which are available from major cities like delhi,mumbai,orissa etc.

The very famous nearby station is Villupuram JN. their are many trains which have a destination point upto here.

The easy but quite uncomfortable route is to take train up-to Chennai Central(MAS) and from their public transports Buses and Taxis from the railway station itself directly to Pondicherry.

A Domestic Airport is also their at Pondicherry having flight for the capital cities of India only.

The most Holy place you will find throughout pondicherry,
The Sri Aurobindo Ashramis a well known and wealthy ashram in India. with devotees from India and all over the world flocking to it for spiritual salvation.
Sri aurobindo Ashram which is situated at the heart of the city every single person knows where is it still an address(Marine St, White Town, Puducherry). Aperson who visits the city must starts his/her journey of pondicheery by meditating here for a while.The Ashram was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, an Indian freedom fighter, poet, philosopher, and yogi.

The Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple,Pondicherry
It is one of the tourist attraction Temple of pondicherry.the place where the temple has built up is given by Sri Aurobindo Ashram and it is very near to the Samadhi(Ashram).
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple was in existence before the French came and settled in Pondicherry i.e. before 1666. According to Sasthra, Lord GANESHA is named in 16 types based on his various forms out which this god facing the east cost near Bay of Bengal it has been named as Bhuvaneshar Ganapathy, now called as Manakula Vinayagar.
In Tamil 'Manal' means sand and 'Kulam' means pond near the sea, earlierly which was full of sand around pond. So the people called the god as Manal Kulathu Vinayagar [means God near the pond of sand]. Later it is named as MANAKULA VINAYAGAR.

The most attracting and eye-catching thing here is a BIG GIANT ELEPHANT the name Is Lakshmi(Wealth) you just have to give him/her a coin and he/she will give you blessings by putting his/her trunk on your head.

Place of Meditation And The Ultimate Silence
'THE MATRIMANDIR'
Auroville (City of Dawn) is an experimental township which is situated 8 km north-west of Pondicherry in East Coast Road. It was founded in 1968 by Mirra Richard (also known as The Mother), the spiritual collaborator of Sri Aurobindo.

Auroville was designed by the French architect Roger Anger. Auroville is meant to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity.

During the inauguration ceremony of Auroville on 28 February 1968, soil from 124 countries was placed in a lotus-shaped urn and mixed to symbolize universal oneness. The Government of India and UNESCO has endorsed the project.In the middle of the town is the MATRIMANDIR, which has been acclaimed as "an outstanding and original architectural achievement.It was conceived by Alfassa as "a symbol of Universal Mother".

Although originally intended to house 50,000, the actual population today is 2,007 (1,553 adults and 454 minors), coming from 44 nationalities, 836 of whom are of Indian origin. The community is divided up into neighborhoods withEnglish,Sanskrit,French and Tamil names like Aspiration, Arati, La Ferme, and Isaiambalam. The residents are involved in agriculture, administration, commerce and handicrafts, alternative technology, education, healthcare and development projects, the latter including AuroRE Systems, an international award winning unit involved in solar photovoltaic and thermal systems.

Important Information For Concentration In Matrimandir :-
For booking in the Concentration chamber of matrimandir do visit the tourist center of auroville first,
they will give you a tour throughout Auroville which will include a landscape view of Matrimandir visit to Savitri Bhavan,etc and after that you should register your name their that you have visited firstly as Tourist now you want to have Concentration in the Inner Chamber of Matrimandir and the next time planing to come pondicherry again firstly E-mail a mail to take the dates on which you want to visit matrimandir for concentration and according to the availability the will provide you the pass no.

for the booking but you have to give a prior notice about a month ago for any booking in Auroville or Concentration in Matrimandir.

Going on Next Big thing is The Seashore of Pondicherry
About 4Kms(Approx) is the length of the seashore as if for the tourist, Their is 'NO BEACH' but one can sit and enjoy the Spiritual and Positive era and vibes their by meditating. the beach is quite out of the city and you can enjoy the beach Fun their also.
Here the most attracting Thing is Gandhi Statue is a four-meter statue of Mahatma Gandhi is surrounded by eight granite pillars.
Their is also The French War Memorial on Goubert Avenue which is reminder of those brave soldiers who laid down their lives, for their country during the First World War.

The next famous thing here is The Pondicherry Museum,
Pondicherry Museum has a gallery with sculptures and has the remains of archaeological findings from the Arikamedu Roman settlement. The museum also has a collection of rare bronzes and stone sculptures from the Pallava and Chola dynasties and artifacts excavated from Arikamedu.

The very Famous and Huge structured Church in Pondicherry,
Basicla of the sacred Jesus, situated on the south boulevard, is an oriental specimen of Gothic architecture. It contains rare stained glass panels depicting events from the life of Christ.This church was supposed to have been erected in 18th century by French Missionaries. Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a catholic church and is white and brown structure.

What a hugely built place so beautiful and one have to give a five min break to himself to go through this huge house.A Pure White Place in the Heart of the city.

Basically whenever I go i use to have my breakfast,lunch and Dinner at the The Dining Hall of Sri Aurobindo Ashram the most Healthiest and Tastiest food one can ever have.

A must to taste thing in Pondicheery,you can also have the best original Indian tea here and also the very famous dishes of South India Dosa,Idli and Vada Sambhar and how can i forget the Poori bhajji another awesome dish to have.
